An Old Friend
August 27, 2019 /in Still life /by popsThe stein I used for this painting I purchased after seeing it in a store when I was a boy. I used money from my paper route to pay for it……about $5.00 as I recall.
Musical Still Life
August 27, 2019 /in Still life /by popsI have always loved the detailed paintings of William Harnett that include instruments, sheet music, books etc. I purchased a piccolo and used other items I have, as well as my wife’s pearls to stage this setting. Uncle John
August 27, 2019 /in Men, Portraits /by popsOne of my early attempts at portraiture, my Uncle John was one of the most influential people to encourage me to pursue my art work. This portrait was the result of a photo I have that was taken of him during WW2.

August 27, 2019 /in Landscape/Seascapes /by popsThis painting was not a result of a real place but an imaginary, fanciful one influenced by the landscapes of the Hudson Vally School of artists. The man with his dog comes upon the castle ruins while on a hike. I chose a large black dog because of Laika, my black lab. It is an […]
