Painted around 1650, this work was originally attributed to Rembrandt but recent scholars have changed their view thinking it was painted by either a student or associate of Rembrandt because of stylistic differences in paint application.
This is my copy of Claude Monet’s “Bridge Over a Pool of Water Lilies“
originally painted in the year 1900. I painted this for Granddaughter Farrah’s
bedroom. Her mom and I decided on this painting because Farrah’s middle name is Lily.
Leonardo Da Vinci – 1493
While on a vacation cruise I saw this painting outside the dining room of the ship. Obviously not an original, I still thought I would like to copy it. Although the wall placard beside the painting claimed it to be a Rembrandt, I was never able to find it in any of the many books I own on Rembrandt. The placard pointed out that Rembrandt was right handed but in this painting he is holding the palate, brushes, and mall stick in his right hand which would indicate that he used his left hand to paint. At any rate I have never been able to find neither the original painting nor any information about it so this painting continues to be a mystery.
This was painted by Childe Hassan during the 1880’s. This copy is an early attempt by me of dusk as the sun begins to set. I had to apply a lot of glazes to get the transparent effect in the sky and snow.
This is my copy of Peter Paul Rubens siege portrait painted in 1638. This copy is one of my earliest attempts at a portrait. I completed it in July 1980.
This is my copy of the original by Thomas Sully painted in 1820. He is the same artist who painted the likeness of Andrew Jackson that appears on the US twenty dollar bill.
My copy of a Vermeer that he painted in 1667. The artist at the easel is said to be Vermeer himself painting from a live model. The map on the wall is of the regions of the Netherlands. Vermeer painted curtains drawn back as if the viewer is looking in on the artist at work.
